Developed in collaboration between Holon Institute of Technology and Sheba Medical Center, this project addressed the need for precise needle stabilization during CT-guided biopsies.
The device stabilizes the needle at various angles along a hemispherical surface.
A locking mechanism presses the arcs together and applies downward force, securing the needle firmly in the preset position.
Working closely with surgeons, we designed and tested multiple prototypes to ensure the needle remains completely stable throughout the procedure while allowing controlled angulation to accurately reach the lesion.
